Meet Harper
Harper's world changed abruptly at eight years old when she was diagnosed with leukemia. The journey was filled with hospital stays, chemotherapy, and emotional challenges. But at Duke Children's, she found a supportive community. The Child Life specialists, art and music therapists, and even the Duke basketball team rallied around her, turning a difficult experience into one filled with joy and connection. Today, Harper is a cancer survivor, using her experience to advocate for other children facing similar battles.
