Meet Our Champions

Jack and Maryann's lives began with a challenge: a rare condition called Congenital Myasthenia Syndrome (CMS) that weakened their muscles. Simple tasks like breathing and eating were a struggle. and as a result, countless hospital stays, surgeries, and therapies became their norm. Thanks to a dedicated team at Akron Children's, they were able to access new medication and intensive rehabilitation. Jack and Maryann defied expectations, learning to move, communicate, and embrace life's adventures.
