Meet Lucas
At four years old, Lucas's world was turned upside down by a leukemia diagnosis. What seemed like a persistent flu turned into a fight for his life. Airlifted to Providence Alaska Medical Center, he underwent blood transfusions, chemotherapy, and countless tests. The journey was tough, filled with pain, mood swings, and separation from loved ones. But through it all, Lucas's spirit remained strong. The Child Life activity room at the hospital, supported by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, provided a haven for play and distraction, allowing him to simply be a kid again. Today, Lucas continues his treatment with unwavering courage, determined to "kick cancer's hiney!"
