Meet Sofia
Sofia's life changed dramatically at three years old when she suddenly lost mobility. After undergoing extensive testing at St. Luke's Children's, Sofia was diagnosed with Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM), a rare condition affecting the spinal cord. Facing an uncertain future, Sofia and her family found unwavering support at St. Luke's Children's. Through ongoing intensive therapies and a successful nerve transfer surgery, Sofia is defying expectations, regaining movement and inspiring those around her with her resilience.
