Kennedy's carefree childhood took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with leukemia. The challenges of treatment were compounded by COVID restrictions, limiting her activities and interactions. But at Corewell Health Children's, she found comfort and joy through the pet therapy program. Olive and Millie, the therapy dogs, became her constant companions, easing her anxiety and bringing smiles during difficult procedures. Today, Kennedy is in remission, her spirit as bright as ever, and she dreams of becoming a veterinarian, inspired by the furry friends who helped her through her journey.
