Meet Our Play Yellow Ambassadors

Published on October 20, 2021

They’re all about golf. But since joining the Play Yellow movement, they now play the game they love and raise the critical funds Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals need. Meet the Play Yellow Ambassadors.

Our ambassadors are professional golfers who understand that children’s hospital rely on donations to treat 10 million kids each year. They work hard to spread awareness of our cause while raising funds for their local CMN Hospital. Get to know each ambassador below!

John Senden

The connection to CMN Hospitals is personal for John Senden, a professional golfer on the PGA Tour. His 13-year-old son, Jacob, started to have debilitating headaches. John rushed him to to Children’s Medical Center in Texas, where doctors found a brain tumor. Jacob went through six months of chemotherapy treatments, which successfully stopped the tumor from growing. Learn more about John’s support of Play Yellow here.

Kira K. Dixon

Kira K. Dixon is a reporter for Golf Channel. She has been a golfer her whole life and has played in numerous Pro-Ams. But she also holds a distinct honor none of her fellow ambassadors can claim. Learn more about Kira here by following her on Instagram.

Bo Hoag

Bo Hoag is also a PGA Tour member with close ties to Jack Nicklaus, who along with his wife Barbara, helped start Play Yellow. Bo’s grandfather, Bob Hoag was a playing companion of Jack Nicklaus and helped Jack create Muirfield Village. Learn more about Bo here.

Peter Malnati

Peter Malati is the most recent addition to the Play Yellow ambassador team. As a member of the PGA Tour, Peter has visited his local member hospital, Children’s of Mississippi, many times. He is excited to represent the cause of children’s hospitals more broadly as an ambassador. Learn more about Peter here.

Bubba Watson

Bubba Watson is known for his signature pink driver. But shortly before the start of the 2021 Memorial Tournament, he donated a special version of his driver with a yellow shaft and pink head in honor of Play Yellow. Learn more about Bubba here.

Will McGirt

Another PGA Tour member, Will was the first Play Yellow ambassador. In fact, Jack and Barbara Nicklaus helped announce his ambassadorship at a PGA Tour event. Watch the video here.

Isaiah

While Isaiah might look a little different, others quickly learn he’s like any other teen. His bright personality and cheerful smile can light up a room with a single expression.CMN Hospitals donations support the Hope Fund which helps launch critical new programs, purchase essential equipment, conduct cutting-edge research, provide charitable care, and do much more for kids like Isaiah.

Olivia

Despite needing life-long care, Olivia’s prognosis is great. She responds well to treatments and lives an active life with a smile and a positive spirit. CMN Hospitals donations have supported the hospital’s cardiac services, which benefited Olivia. Her family and doctors believe she would not be alive today without the services and medical advancements achieved through cardiac research to improve post-surgery implications, all made possible through contributions.
