Meet Filicia
Filicia, born with holes in her heart, faced a major setback when the right side of her heart stopped working. She spent five months in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. During this challenging time, music therapy became her lifeline. It helped her process not only the transplant but also the devastating loss of her father. Today, Filicia is thriving, her heart filled with music and resilience.
