Meet Our Champions

Kamilla's journey began with a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome and a heart defect. Born prematurely, she needed immediate care in the neonatal intensive care unit. Though she quickly grew stronger, concerns about her eating and heart remained. Thanks to donations to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Kamilla received support from a home health nurse and access to Children's Village, where she received specialized care, including cardiology appointments and therapies to improve her muscle tone and motor skills. Today, Kamilla is a thriving 11-year-old, full of love and determination.
