Meet Our Champions

Kiyomi's world was shaken when a sudden illness with a high fever led to a devastating diagnosis: stage 4 Wilms tumor, a rare kidney cancer. The once-joyful 7-year-old faced a difficult journey, including surgery and intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments while in the hospital and after she returned home. Thanks to donations to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Kiyomi received chemotherapy close to home, surrounded by her loved ones. The hospital's Child Life program provided comfort and distractions with crafts during Kiyomi's care. It's that level of care that keeps Kiyomi smiling.
