Meet Libbiana (Libbi)

Libbiana (Libbi) was nearly 2 years old when her world was shaken by news that she had a rare and aggressive cancer, Wilms Tumor. She received treatment at Golisano Children's Hospital, and just when she thought she was cancer-free, the tumor had returned. The next few years were a whirlwind. Libbi had her kidney removed, endured more than 70 weeks of chemotherapy and 20 days of radiation, survived four cardiac arrests, spent 12 days connected to a machine to help her breathe, spent four weeks in critical care, had more than 40 blood and platelet transfusions, and received hundreds of tests, therapies and additional treatments to keep her alive. Today, Libbi is cancer-free and a testament to the specialized care at children's hospitals like Golisano.
