Meet Liljana
Liljana's childhood was a rollercoaster of allergies, asthma, and infections, often escalating to severe conditions. The repeated hospital stays took a toll on her and her family. But at St. Louis Children's Hospital, they found answers and support. Through the challenges of diagnosing rare conditions like Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia and Adrenal Insufficiency, the hospital's Child Life specialists provided comfort and coping mechanisms, while the STARS program ensured rapid response before she was bedside during emergencies. Today, Liljana is managing her conditions, pursuing her passions for cello, art and Minecraft, in addition to inspiring others with her resilience.
