Meet Paisley
The week after her 6th birthday, Paisley's life took an unexpected turn. The once-active girl suddenly struggled to walk, her legs growing weaker by the minute. Rushed to the hospital, she was diagnosed with transverse myelitis, a rare condition causing paralysis. Fear and uncertainty loomed, but the dedicated team at MU Health Care's Children's Hospital provided unwavering support. Through intensive therapies and the comforting presence of the facility dog and Child Life specialists, Paisley regained her mobility and confidence.
