Meet Rusk and Sutter
Rusk: Rusk's journey began with a Down syndrome diagnosis at birth. At two months old, his family discovered he had cataracts, causing blindness. Emergency surgery restored his sight, but challenges remained. Low muscle tone and vision delays impacted his development. Donations to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals provided a safe sleeper bed and ensured Rusk's safety and his family's peace of mind. Today, Rusk continues to overcome obstacles, his resilience and determination shining through.
Sutter: Adopted at two and a half years old, Sutter's early life was affected by neglect and developmental delays. He struggled with basic movements and communication. But at Freeman Health System, with support from Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Sutter found a loving family and a team dedicated to his progress. Through therapies and specialized equipment, he's learning to sit, crawl, and interact with the world around him, proving that every child deserves a chance to thrive.
