Meet Tynlee
A devastating car accident left Tynlee fighting for her life. Rushed to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth, she underwent emergency surgery for severe internal injuries, including damage to her pancreas. The newly remodeled Pediatric Unit, supported by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, became her home for 19 days. Despite the challenges, Tynlee's positive spirit shone through, reassuring her worried family before surgery. This resilience would serve her well as she later faced a diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes, a result of the accident's impact on her pancreas. Today, she's a vibrant 10-year-old who manages her diabetes with strength, enjoys her favorite foods, and plays with her siblings, a testament to her incredible spirit and the power of expert care.
