Wawa is your "all day, every day stop for fresh, built-to-order foods, beverages, coffee, fuel services, and surcharge-free ATMs". Established in 1803, they are chain of more than 1,000 convenience retail stores (over 600 offering gasoline), located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and Washington, D.C. and growing! On April 16th, 2014, known as Wawa Day, as a way to continue helping the communities they serve, they created The Wawa Foundation. The Wawa Foundation supports organizations committed to saving and improving lives in the communities they serve by supporting programs dedicated to “Championing Life-saving Research & Care for People in Need”. With more than $23 million raised for CMN since 2003, Wawa and its associates continuously seek opportunities to make themselves the best neighbor they can be. This is evidenced by their corporate and regional efforts and through associates who emulate the “good neighbor” philosophy. Wawa locations support Children’s Miracle Network every spring helping raise money for over 18 local children’s hospitals (and growing!), one dollar at a time.
