Meet Elle and Emerson (Emme)
Born prematurely at 25 weeks, twins Emerson (Emme) and Elle faced a challenging start, with a mere 5% chance of survival. Emme's journey was particularly difficult, with multiple brain surgeries and the diagnosis of cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus and epilepsy. But at Johns Hopkins Children's Center, they found unwavering support. The Child Life team provided comfort and strength to Elle during Emme's hospitalizations, fostering resilience in both girls. Today, they continue to defy expectations, proving that even the smallest fighters can overcome immense challenges.
