Meet McKenzie
At three years old, McKenzie's life took an unexpected turn with a leukemia diagnosis. The journey was long and arduous, filled with intense chemotherapy, hospital stays, and the constant fear of relapse. But at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center, she found strength and support. The Child Life program, funded in part by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, provided a welcome distraction and a sense of normalcy amidst the challenges. Today, McKenzie is a thriving teenager, celebrating five years cancer-free.
