McLane Children’s is part of Baylor Scott & White, the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas, and one of the largest in the United States. McLane Children’s Medical Center opened in 2011 as the first rural hospital for children in the United States and the area’s only freestanding acute care pediatric hospital between Dallas and Austin. Serving more than 33,000 square miles, McLane Children’s provides advanced, comprehensive pediatric care in a hometown atmosphere, with a 125-bed hospital that includes 16 pediatric ICU beds, 61 NICU beds, 48 medical, surgical and oncology beds. McLane Children’s also offers 40 pediatric specialties, a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, a Level IV NICU, and numerous programs and resources designed to help children heal and thrive.
