Piper's world turned upside down at four years old when she was diagnosed with a rare form of Ewing's Sarcoma. The tumor in her neck pressed against her spinal cord, causing pain and loss of function in her arm. But at Children's Hospital Colorado, Piper found strength and support. The Medical Dog Program and Child Life specialists became her allies, helping her navigate the challenges of treatment with courage and joy. Today, Piper is cancer-free, and she and her family are embracing life with a newfound appreciation for every moment.
