Ryan's fifth birthday took an unexpected turn with a diagnosis of a rare form of leukemia. The journey that followed was long and challenging, filled with chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and countless hospital stays. But at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, Ryan found more than just medical treatment. The Child Life team and pet therapy visits provided comfort and eased his anxiety, while a philanthropy-funded clinical trial offered a path to remission. Though his battle continues, Ryan's spirit remains strong, fueled by his love for superheroes and his family.
