Meet Evie
Evie’s joy and energy have always been part of her sparkle. But at six months old, her family learned she had Sagittal Craniosynostosis, a rare condition that could limit her brain growth, vision, and development if untreated. Doctors at Akron Children’s knew urgent surgery was needed. Thanks to donations supporting specialized care, Evie underwent a 10-hour Cranio Vault Remodeling, giving her brain the space it needed to grow. Today, at almost 11, Evie’s thriving as a competitive dancer and cheerleader.
She still visits her “specialist friends” for checkups, but her outlook is full of possibilities.
Evie’s story is a reminder that every child deserves the best care, close to home.
