Meet Champion, Bella & Liv

For 9-year-old Liv, what began as a headache turned life-threatening. After tests revealed a severe infection had spread to her brain and entered her bloodstream, she was rushed to Children’s Hospital Colorado, where experts quickly created a treatment plan. After three surgeries in three days, Liv’s life was saved. At six months old, Liv’s little sister Bella began experiencing frequent, severe nosebleeds. After years of searching for answers, she was referred to Children’s Hospital Colorado, where she was diagnosed with a bleeding disorder. Every appointment requires a blood draw, and the Child Life team is by her side offering emotional support, therapeutic play, and encouragement to help her bravely face her medical procedures. Today, sisters Bella and Liv are thriving thanks to expert care and compassion that makes Children’s Colorado a place of hope and healing for families.
