Colbie & Kenna’s story

Colbie and Kenna were born at just 23 weeks and 3 days after their mother was admitted to St. Rose Dominican Hospital. Colbie weighed 1 lb. 6 oz., and Kenna weighed 1 lb. 5 oz. Both girls spent 113 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), overcoming enormous challenges. They were still on oxygen when, one week after their original due date, they finally went home. Despite their fragile beginnings, Colbie and Kenna grew and thrived without major delays. Today, they are 17-year-old, vibrant high schoolers excelling in academics and sports. Kenna plays competitive soccer and runs on the varsity track team, while Colbie is a member of the National Honor Society and plays electric guitar. Together, they give back by volunteering with the Unified Special Olympics, inspiring others with their resilience and commitment to their community
