Finley’s story

Finley was born ten weeks early, with underdeveloped lungs and little chance of survival. He spent 69 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), enduring two blood transfusions, two ambulance transfers, and weeks on breathing support. Each small milestone was celebrated, like a steady oxygen level or the first skin-to-skin cuddle. Diagnosed with chronic lung disease and pulmonary hypertension, Finley still requires continuous oxygen support, a feeding tube, and weekly therapies. He is hard of hearing in one ear and deaf in the other but is making steady progress in learning sign language. Despite his challenges, Finley is full of joy. He loves cars, and races through the house with his pediatric walker, grinning with pride. His family credits Children’s Miracle Network funding and extraordinary hospital teams for helping Finley thrive
