The youngest of three brothers, Hunter is full of energy and has a love for sports. But, at the age of seven, his life changed when what seemed like the flu turned out to be something far more serious. After months of congestion, nosebleeds, and weight loss, Hunter was diagnosed with stage 4 juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma, a rare tumor that invaded his sinuses and pressed dangerously close to his brain. His parents struggled to find help until they connected with specialists at Children’s Hospital at OU Health. Supported by Children’s Health Foundation, a remarkable team of surgeons performed the complex, life-saving procedures Hunter needed. Today, Hunter is recovering and back to playing golf, baseball, and basketball. Cheering for his brothers or wearing his University of Oklahoma gear proudly, he shows that he’s not only an athlete, but also a fighter and a true champion.
