Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of two, Maximus has faced the daily challenges of monitoring blood sugar, using an insulin pump, and managing his diet, all while staying active in his favorite sports. Now 7, he’s turned his journey into advocacy, helping raise funds for diabetes research and even co-writing a play called Sugar Babies to teach kids about insulin, ketones, and living with diabetes. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta provides Maximus with expert clinical care, regular checkups, and emotional support that helps him stay positive. His care team cheers him on at every visit, encouraging both Maximus and his family to keep pushing forward. Maximus’s energy, resilience, and passion for helping others inspire everyone around him
