Meet Mina

Golisano Children’s Hospital at University of Vermont Health
At the age of 12, Mina began experiencing persistent stomach pain, frequent bathroom trips, and weight loss. Initially suspected to be lactose intolerance, her symptoms worsened despite dietary changes. Two years later, after thorough testing with a gastroenterologist at University of Vermont Children’s Hospital, she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Mina began treatment with regular infusions, easing her symptoms and allowing her to regain strength and weight. Today, Mina manages her condition while staying active as a competitive dancer, pageant titleholder, and nonprofit founder supporting youth impacted by family alcohol use. She proudly represents Vermont in the Miss Teen All American pageant and uses her platform to inspire others. Mina approaches life with courage, resilience, and a commitment to making a difference.
