Meet Quinn
Quinn was born at 37 weeks after a pregnancy complicated by preeclampsia. Soon after birth, she was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for difficulty breathing, and her medical team faced a series of unexplained challenges, including feeding complications, abnormal heart tests, and pulmonary hypertension. Genetic testing revealed the cause: Costello Syndrome, an ultra-rare disorder affecting every cell in the body, with less than 1,200 confirmed cases worldwide. Thanks to donations, Quinn received specialized NICU care, genetic testing, and expert therapies, giving her the chance to stabilize and begin her lifelong care journey. Today, her team includes 15 medical professionals and regular physical, occupational, and speech therapy. At two years old, Quinn may be small in size, but she has a huge, joyful personality, she’s resilient, and full of life. Her smile lights up every room she enters.
