Born with spina bifida, Trey faced significant medical challenges from the start. Shortly after birth, he underwent surgeries to repair his spinal cord and drain fluid from his brain. Like many children with spina bifida, Trey requires care from multiple pediatric specialists. UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s comprehensive team approach allows him to see all his providers in one place on the same day, minimizing his time at the hospital. Trey is often spotted in creative, custom-designed casts that reflect his personality and help with mobility. Now 14, Trey is a passionate sports fan with a quick wit and a love for sharing his opinions. His energy and enthusiasm hint at a bright future in broadcasting!
