Sanford Children’s Hospital located in downtown Fargo, North Dakota, is the only facility of its kind in the region and the only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in the state of North Dakota. It includes a 18 bed Pediatric Unit, a 6 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a 33 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Staff consists of pediatricians and pediatric specialists — including pediatric critical care and neonatology (the care of newborn babies), specialties rarely found elsewhere in North Dakota or northwestern Minnesota.
