University of Rochester Medicine Golisano Children’s is the region’s only children’s hospital, caring for children and families across Rochester and the 17-county Finger Lakes region. The 148-bed hospital occupies its own eight-story, 245,000-square-foot building attached to Strong Memorial Hospital and is part of University of Rochester Medicine. It is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center with a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and offers comprehensive pediatric specialty care including critical care, the Children’s Heart Center, hematology/oncology, pediatric surgery, and a dedicated pediatric emergency department. Golisano Children’s now reaches families well beyond its walls through outpatient practices, school partnerships, mobile health, and telemedicine across the region.
