Ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s top pediatric hospitals, Children’s Health is private, not-for-profit and licensed for 483 beds with more than 50 subspecialty programs. It is the only pediatric designated Level I trauma center in Texas and a major transplant center. As the primary pediatric teaching facility for UT Southwestern Medical Center, the medical staff at Children’s conducts research that is instrumental in developing treatments, therapies, and greater understanding of pediatric diseases.
