Fundación de Niños de Puerto Rico was established in 1995. Although it originated as an initiative led by executives and doctors at San Jorge Children’s Hospital, it has since evolved into an independent nonprofit organization. The Foundation pays for medical services and treatments to children and youngsters from low-income families diagnosed with cancer, malformations, or any chronic health condition. Today, services extend to multiple pediatric hospitals, institutions, and medical offices in Puerto Rico.
