For more than 80 years, Shannon Medical Center has served the Concho Valley, growing with the community to meet its health care needs. As the region’s premier healthcare provider, Shannon provides a variety of clinical services to meet each patient’s needs. Our Shannon Women’s & Children’s Hospital is the region’s only dedicated facility for these special patients. It includes a dedicated pediatric unit, outpatient clinic with chemotherapy and infusion services, intermediate care nursery and NICU with capability to care for infants as young as 28 weeks. Shannon is the area’s designated lead level 3 trauma center and provides Shannon AirMed 1 Air Ambulance and features a nationally-recognized ICU.
100 percent of your contribution stays at Shannon Medical Center to benefit our Pediatric Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Trauma, Emergency Room, Shannon Pediatric Clinic and any other department that could possibly treat a child. Last year we treated more than 16,000 children. These children were treated for a variety of illnesses. They came from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds and were treated without regard for their family’s ability to pay.
Our primary goal is to provide the services, equipment and training necessary so that your child or one that you know can stay in San Angelo at home or close to home for their treatments.
